On Tuesday 6 June 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Brisbane, Queensland.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Lieutenant General Simon Stuart AO DSC, Chief of Army, attended the 6 RAR Consecration and Presentation of Colours.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Peter Bongiorni, President, Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc, attended a dinner at the Ukrainian Club Brisbane.
