On Monday 23 September 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled to Glen Innes, New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Assistant Commissioner Peter McKechnie, NSW Rural Fire Service, visited the Northern Tablelands Fire Control Centre.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mayor Peter Petty, Tenterfield City Council, visited the Tenterfield Recovery Hub and hosted a barbeque lunch for responders, volunteers and community members.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled to Hobart, Tasmania.
