On Tuesday 25 October 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Shepparton, Victoria.

On arrival, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Councillor Shane Sali, Mayor, Greater Shepparton Council, attended a briefing the impact of flood relief and recovery operations.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with flood-affected residents and community representatives in Shepparton and Mooropna.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with emergency services personnel and volunteers at the Shepparton Incident Control Centre.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended a community lunch to acknowledge flood response and recovery efforts.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Councillor Shane Sali, meet with clients, staff and volunteers at the Shepparton Emergency Relief Centre.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Shepparton, Victoria, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
