On Monday 25 April 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Matthew Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, attended the Anzac Day Dawn Service.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Matthew Anderson PSM, attended the Returned Services League Veterans' March and the National Address.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Suva, The Republic of Fiji.
Then, following the departure of the Governor-General from Australia on an official visit to The Republic of Fiji, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley as guests of the Honourable Rear Admiral Josaia Veroqe Bainimarama (Retd), Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji, received a ceremonial welcome on arrival in Suva, The Republic of Fiji.
