On Friday 28 April 2023, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) as a guest of Mr Shane Phillips, Chief Executive Officer, attended a Tribal Warrior boxing session at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

Later, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a morning tea for Bus Stop Films.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Sydney, New South Wales, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Mr Ken Snell; Mr Glenn Crosland and Mr Vince Creagh.

Then, Mrs Hurley, as Patron, and the Governor-General, as guests of Ms Genevieve Jacobs AM, Chair, attended the performance of 'The Mozarts, the Haydns and the Bear' as part of the opening gala of the 2023 Canberra International Music Festival.
