On Sunday 26 January 2020, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley , as guests of Ms Danielle Roche OAM, Chair, National Australia Day Council (NADC), and Ms Karlie Brand, CEO, NADC, attended the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony in Parkes, Australian Capital Territory.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted an Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony at Admiralty House, Sydney.
