On Friday 2 June 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with students from St John Fisher Primary School, Tumbi Umbi, New South Wales.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.

Later, the Governor-General received Ms Gwen Cherne, Veteran Family Advocate Commissioner.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for Senior Constable Peter Stone and family.

Later, the Governor-General received Lieutenant Colonel Conrad Walsh, Commanding Officer, Sydney University Regiment.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted the Sydney University Regiment’s Council Meeting.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Rebecca Blake, Managing Director, attended concert: Rolling Thunder Vietnam, at the State Theatre.
