On Saturday 11 November 2023, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, attended the Remembrance Day National Ceremony.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Ray James OAM, State President, attended the RSL NSW Poppy Ball onboard HMAS Adelaide.
