On Friday 23 February 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), received a phone call from Mr Robert Pooley LVO MBE. 

Afterwards, Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as Patron, and the Governor-General hosted a morning tea for the Girls’ Brigade Australia, at which they presented the Pioneer Pin and Queens Award. 

Then, the Governor-General received Her Excellency Ms Satu Mattila-Budich, Ambassador of Finland. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received a phone call from Professor Glyn Davis AC. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a phone call from Dr Rob Lang. 

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Angela McKay. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.
