On Monday 2 March 2020, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Lindy Hurley, as guests of LTGEN Rick Burr AO DSC MVO, Chief of Army, presented the Theatre Honour East Timor and celebrated the Army’s 119th Birthday at Sir Thomas Blamey Square.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley as guests of the Honourable Sussan Ley MP, Minister for the Environment, attended the Australian Government's National Plastics Summit at Old Parliament House.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled to Sydney, New South Wales.

Then, the Governor-General hosted a roundtable discussion for the Global Foundation at Admiralty House.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner for the Global Foundation.
