Canberra, Australian Capital Territory; Sydney, New South Wales

On Friday 28 March 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, received the Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, in the Study.  

Following this, at Parliament House, Canberra, the Official Secretary to the Governor-General, Mr Gerard Martin PSM, read the Governor-General’s Proclamation to prorogue the Parliament and to dissolve the House of Representatives. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.
