On Tuesday 08 April 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, recorded an address for ANZAC Day. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Sandra Elton, CEO, visited NOTCH Townsville Community Hub.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney, Acting Mayor, attended a community reception for first responders. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Holly Ardern, Director, attended the Wedgewood: Artist and Industry Exhibition. 

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Kathy Anderson, CEO, visited the Townsville Aboriginal and Islander Health Service.  

In the evening, the Governor-General, travelled from Townsville, Queensland to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
