Canberra, Australian Capital Territory; Townsville, Queensland

On Monday 07 April 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Townsville, Queensland. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of LTCOL Sara Molly, Commanding Officer, Joint Health Unit North Queensland, visited Lavarack Health Centre. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, visited the Defence Members and Family Support (DMFS) and Geckoes Family Centres. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of LCPL Ian Gordon, attended lunch with the Soldiers of 3 Brigade. 

Then, the Governor-General, attended and acted as the Reviewing Officer at the Presentation of the Meritorious Unit Citation for Operation SOLACE to the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, attended a reception hosted by the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment.
