Ceremonial Arrival of the President of Malta; State Dinner in honour of the President of Malta

On Monday 21 March 2011, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Ceremonial Arrival of the President of Malta, His Excellency Dr George Abela, and Mrs Margaret Abela.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received former Australian High Commissioner to Malta, Mr Jurek Juszczyk, and Mrs Malgosia Korsun-Juszczyk.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the President of Malta and Mrs Abela.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a State Dinner in honour of the President of Malta and Mrs Abela. Afterwards, at Melbourne International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales KG by Brigadier David O’Brien ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
