Changi Airport, Singapore; Bahrain Airport, Bahrain; Paris France

On Tuesday 4 June 2024, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Changi Airport Singapore to Bahrain Airport, Bahrain. 

Then the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Bahrain Airport, Bahrain to Paris, France. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ambassador Gillian Bird PSM, Australian Ambassador to France, attended a Reception with staff and families of the Embassy. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, attended an investiture ceremony at which the Governor General invested General Thierry Burkhard AO, as an Honorary Officer of the Order of Australia (Military division).

In the Evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended a dinner, hosted by Ambassador Bird.
