Children’s Book Council of Australia; Life Education; Ninko Kurtangga Patpangga

On Wednesday 4 July 2012, at the Burnside Public Library, Adelaide, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Patron, and as guest of the National President of the Children’s Book Council of Australia, Ms Julie Wells, took part in a book reading in recognition of the National Year of Reading, and met with library staff and children.

In the afternoon, at St George College, Mile End, the Governor-General, as Patron, and as guest of the Chair of the Life Education South Australia Board, Mr Steve Kelton, met with staff and students participating in Life Education programs.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of the Executive Officer, Ms Megan Hughes, visited Ninko Kurtangga Patpangga and met with clients and staff in recognition of NAIDOC week.
