CHOGM reception "Empowering Women to Lead"; CHOGM dinner "Empowering Women to Lead"

On Thursday 27 October 2011, at the Richardson Hotel, Perth, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO received the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al Hashemi, and the Founder of Mahboba's Promise, Ms Mahboba Rawi.

Afterwards, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Perth, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception in support of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Parallel event “Empowering Women to Lead”, at which the Governor-General gave an address.

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of the Prime Minister of Australia, the Honourable Julia Gillard MP, attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting “Empowering Women to Lead” dinner, and delivered an address.
