Christening of Sydney University Women's Rowing Club boat the 'Quentin Bryce'; Reception for the College of Nursing

On Wednesday 9 November 2011, at the Great Hall, Sydney University, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of Sydney University, Dr Michael Spence and President of the Sydney Women’s Rowing Club, Ms Bronwen Watson, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General christened the Sydney University Women’s Rowing Club elite rowing boat named in her honour.

In the evening, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for the College of Nursing, at which the Governor-General launched Gwen Burbidge's biography ‘Australia's Controversial Matron: Gwen Burbidge and Nursing Reform’.
