Credential Ceremony; Stage One Building Development,National Gallery of Australia
On Thursday 30 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Damir Arnaut, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Sanja Bagaric-Arnaut.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Ibrahim Bushra Mohamed Ali, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Salih Mohamed Ahmed M (Minister) and Mr Asim Yasin Mohamed Ahmed (Counsellor).
Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a morning tea in honour of the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Director of the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Ethics, University of Tasmania, Dr Natasha Cica.
In the evening, at the National Gallery of Australia, Parkes, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the new Stage One Building Development.
