Credentials

On Thursday 22 March 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO received from His Excellency Mr Maris Sangiampongsa, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Saksee Phromyothi (Minister Counsellor), Group Captain Suksom Sukasam (Defence and Air Attache) and Ms Tachaphorn Suntrajarn (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Kokan Sangiampongsa.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Vladimir Konstantinidi, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the State of Georgia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Zurab Dvalishvili (Minister Counsellor).

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Kalfau George Kaloris, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Vanuatu. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Johnny Koanapo (Acting Director, Department of Foreign Affairs).

Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Bouna Semou Diouf, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Michael Leopold Bula (Honorary Consul-General).

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Brigadier Reuben Ngwenya, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Malawi. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mrs Grace Karonga (Counsellor).

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, received Supreme Court of Queensland Librarian, Mr Aladin Rahemtula OAM, accompanied by Mrs Mary Rahemtula.

In the evening, the Governor-General received the Patron of Kimberley Girls, Ms Liz Davenport OAM; Personal Assistant to Ms Davenport, Ms Vanessa Wood; Chief Operating Officer, Kimberley Girls, Ms Kira Fong; Chief Executive Officer, Goolarri Media, Ms Jodie Bell; and Kimberley Girls, Ms Kenetia Griffiths, Ms Buna Tuaty and Ms Mystique Dia.

Earlier, Mr Bryce received Chief Executive Officer of Defence Officers in Business, Mr Thomas Triebsees.

In the morning, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Brigadier Greg Bilton CSC ADC, and Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
