Credentials; Afternoon tea with Senior Defence Leadership; Address-in-Reply from the House of Representatives; Australian Federal Police Reception
On Monday 17 March 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from Her Excellency Ms Zanele Mdluli, Letters of Commission accrediting her as the High Commissioner for the Kingdom of Swaziland.
Afterwards, at Bridges House, Duntroon, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended an afternoon tea hosted in their honour by the Chief of the Defence Force, General David Hurley AC DSC.
Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for Members of the House of Representatives, at which the Governor-General received the Address-in-Reply from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Honourable Bronwyn Bishop MP.
Then, the Governor-General received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Director of the Museum of Australian Democracy, Ms Daryl Karp and the Museum’s Deputy Director, Mr Steven Fox.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for current and former Close Personal Protection team members.
