Credentials Ceremonies

On Thursday 17 February 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Khaled Al-Shaibani, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Anas Al-Shaheen (Second-Secretary). The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Nada Al-Essa.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Ms Koleka Mqulwana, Letters of Commission accrediting her as High Commissioner for the Republic of South Africa. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Mauritz Lindeque (Counsellor), Mr Elias Masango (First Secretary) and Ms Maria Bokaba (First Secretary).

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Luis Quesada, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Republic of Peru. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Franklin Rojas Escalante (Minister-Counsellor), Mr Alberto Gonzales (Minister-Counsellor) and Mr Daniel Reategui (Third Secretary).

Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Hadi Brouri, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Brahim Lenemar (Counsellor) and Mr Abdelhakim Mazouzi (Attaché). The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mrs Hanifa Brouri.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, His Excellency Mr Paul Madden.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Manager of the Latin American Division of AusAID, Ms Faiza El-Higzi.
