Credentials ceremonies; Lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission; ADFA, RMC-D and Spitfire reception
On Monday 7 December 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Mykola Kulinich, Letters of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador of the Ukraine. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Mykola Dzhydzhora (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Olena Kulinich.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Najeeb Al-Bader, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Kuwait. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Mahdi Al-Ajmi (First Secretary), Mr Mohammad Al-Sheetan (Second Secretary) and Mr Zaid Al-Harb (Second Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Reem Al-Sharrah.
Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Miguel Julian Palomino de la Gala, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Gino Arciniega (Minister) and Mr Gabriel Pacheco (Consul-General, NSW). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Teresita Daroca Capell.
Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch in honour of newly accredited Heads of Mission. Guests included: Mr Mahdi Al-Ajmi; His Excellency Mr Najeeb Al-Bader and Mrs Reem Al-Sharrah; Mr Gino Arciniega; Mr Mykola Dzhydzhora; His Excellency Dr Mykola Kulinich and Mrs Olena Kulinich; His Excellency Mr Miguel Julian Palomino de la Gala and Mrs Teresita Daroca Capell; Ms Jennifer Rawson; Ms Lyndall Sachs; and His Excellency Mr Pedro Villagra Delgado.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for ADFA and RMC-D graduands and the Spitfire Association, at which the Governor-General presented the 2016 Spitfire Memorial Defence Fellowship.
