Credentials Ceremony for the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama;

On Thursday 9 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr José Antonio Ruiz Blanco, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Maria Stella Nunez Spiegel de Ruiz.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a morning tea in honour of the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner to the Republic of South Africa, Ms Ann Harrap.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Kenya, Mr Geoff Tooth.

Later, the Governor-General received Major Lindsay Barfoot RFD ED (Retd), Mrs Mavis Barfoot, and Mrs Betty Joyner who remained for afternoon tea.

In the evening, at the Treasury Building, Parkes, Mr Bryce attended the Lindsay Pryor Arboretum reference group meeting.
