Credentials Ceremony for the Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar, the Ambassador of Japan, the Ambassador of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, and the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; Credentials Reception

On Thursday 26 August 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr Paw Lwin Sein, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Kyaw Wa (Counsellor), Mr Wunna Han (Counsellor) and Mr San Kyaw (Second Secretary). The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Ms Khin Win.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Shigekazu Sato, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Japan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Masami Kinefuchi (Minister), Mr Tetsuro Amano (Minister) and Captain Takuya Ito (First Secretary).

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Musbah Allafi, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mrs Naima Mohamed (Counsellor), Mr Idris Ataguri (Consul) and Mr Esmail Abuzainin (Counsellor). The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mrs Faeza Benghali.

Then, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Vladimir Morozov, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Russian Federation. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Alexander Artyukh (Minister-Counsellor) and Mr Konstantin Yushmanov (Attaché). The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mrs Elena Morozova.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Ali Nasser Al Nuaimi, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Hamad Al Habsi (Minister), Mr Abdullah Al Hashmi (Military Attaché) and Mr Abdulrahman Al Ghardaqa (Cultural Attaché). The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mrs Aysha Al Nuaimi.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception in honour of the Ambassador of the Union of Myanmar, the Ambassador of Japan, the Ambassador of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, and the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates.
