Credentials; Reception for the Board of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust

On Tuesday 18 June 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from his Excellency Mr Hussain Shihab, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the High Commissioner of the Republic of the Maldives.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the President of the International Diabetes Federation, Sir Michael Hirst; the CEO of Diabetes Australia, Professor Greg Johnson; the President of Diabetes Australia, Ms Moira Watson and Diabetes Australia Ambassador, Mr Guy Barnett.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, hosted a reception for the Board of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust.

In the evening, at Canberra Stadium, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron of the ACT Brumbies and guest of the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Rugby Union, Mr Bill Pulver, attended the ACT Brumbies v British & Irish Lions rugby match.
