Dame Beryl Beaurepaire’s 90th birthday; Launch of Dr Patricia Edgar’s ‘In Praise of Ageing’; Official Opening of Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre

On Tuesday 1 October 2013, at Mt Eliza, Victoria, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended a morning tea with Dame Beryl Beaurepaire AC DBE.

Afterwards, at the Wheeler Centre, Melbourne, the Governor-General, as guest of the author Dr Patricia Edgar AM, and in recognition of the International Day of Older Persons, launched the book ‘In Praise of Ageing’.

In the evening, in Melbourne, the Governor-General, as Patron and guest of the Director, Professor Jayashri Kulkarni, officially opened the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre.
