On Friday 15 March 2024, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, attended a walk with members of Mates4Mates.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Anthony Busch, Director, Sanderson Academy, and Mr Cameron Ilet, Partnership Manager, Clontarf Foundation, visited the Clontarf Academy at Sanderson Middle School.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Elizabeth Morgan-Brett, Chief Executive Officer, attended a morning tea with staff and volunteers of the Aboriginal Investment Group. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, attended a lunch. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley, hosted an afternoon tea for members of the Northern Territory Branch of the Order of Australia Association.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Darwin, Northern Territory, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
