On Tuesday 24 November 2020, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC Retd and Mrs Linda Hurley accompanied Devonport residents and local community members on a morning walk along the Mersey River.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Markeetta Matthews, Nursing Unit Manager, met with frontline staff at the Devonport COVID-19 Testing Clinic.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Peter Bird, Principal, met with the Student Leadership Group at Devonport High School.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Ann Teesdale, Manager, visited and met with volunteers at Home Hill.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Brendan Emery, President, Devonport RSL, attended a lunch with community support and service agencies.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Jane Forward, Manager, visited the Devonport Library.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Devonport, Tasmania, to Admiralty House, Sydney, New South Wales.
In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, hosted a reception for the UTS Indigenous Residential College.
