On Thursday 19 December 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, travelled from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley were farewelled by His Excellency Mr Arthur Spyrou, Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, and Mrs Britt Spyrou.
