Farewell ceremony for the Chief Justice of NSW; NSW Police Legacy Child Safety Handbook; National Museum of Italian Emigration

On Tuesday 31 May 2011, at the Supreme Court of New South Wales Banco Court, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, attended a farewell ceremony for the Chief Justice of New South Wales, the Honourable Justice James Spigelman AC QC.

Afterwards, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator, as Patron, launched the New South Wales Police Legacy Child Safety Handbook.

Later, the Administrator received, Elder of the Yuin Nation of South East Australia, Uncle Max Duramunmun Harrison, Mr John Kelly, and Gumbaynggirr Elders, Uncle Larry Kelly, and Mr Barry Pyeball.

In the evening, at the National Museum of Italian Emigration, Rome, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director, Dr Alessandro Nicosia, visited the Museum.
