Federal Executive Council; Aboriginal Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Foundation Launch; International Police Association-ACT Region Meeting

On Thursday 14 May 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Coach of the Westfield Matildas, Mr Alen Stajcic.

Later, the Governor-General received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Paris, Mr Brian Ponitfex.

Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception to launch the Aboriginal Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Foundation.

In the evening, at the Australian Federal Police College, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a meeting of the International Police Association – ACT Region, where the Governor-General presented the keynote address and met with guests.
