Federal Executive Council; Bangarra Dance Theatre

On Thursday 11 July 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Consul-General designate in Mumbai, Mr Mark Pierce.

Later, the Governor-General received Australia’s Global Ambassador for Women and Girls, Ms Penny Williams.

In the evening, at the Canberra Theatre Centre, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair of Bangarra Dance Theatre, Professor Larissa Behrendt, and the Chief Executive Officer for Cultural Facilities Corporation, Ms Harriet Elvin, attended the opening night of Blak, performed by the Bangarra Dance Theatre.
