Federal Executive Council; Call from the Prime Minister; Parliamentary reception

On Tuesday 25 March 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP, Her Majesty The Queen was pleased to approve the award of Dame of the Order of Australia to the Governor-General.

In the morning, the Governor-General received the Prime Minister

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chief Minister of the ACT, Ms Katy Gallagher MLA.

In the evening, at Parliament House, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a farewell reception hosted in their honour by the Prime Minister and Mrs Margaret Abbott.
