Federal Executive Council; Funeral Service for the late Air Chief Marshal Sir Neville McNamara KBE AO AFC AE (Retd); Presentation of the Governor-General’s Banner

On Thursday 15 May 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, at St Christopher’s Cathedral, Manuka, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, attended the funeral service for the late Air Chief Marshal Sir Neville McNamara KBE AO AFC AE (Retd).

Later, at RAAF Base Richmond, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a parade at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Governor-General’s Banner to Air Movements Training and Development Unit.

Then, the Governor-General was represented at Brisbane International Airport at the arrival in Australia of the Governor-General of Solomon Islands, His Excellency Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui, by Commander Peter Tedman DSM ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
