Federal Executive Council; Karinya House; Friends of Government House
On Tuesday 16 November 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
Later, at Giralang, the Governor-General, as Patron, met with staff, volunteers and clients of the Karinya House community based program.
In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Sydney and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Dr Simon Lewis PSM; the President of Parkinson's Australia, Mr Roger Norton; the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Parkinson's Australia, Mrs Miriam Dixon; Neurological Nurse Educator of the Shoalhaven Project, Sister Marilia Pereira; and Co-investigator of the Shoalhaven Project, Associate Professor Sharon Naismith.
In the evening, at Government House Canberra, the Governor-General hosted a reception for Friends of Government House.
