Federal Executive Council; Reception for Australian Police Legatees; National Police Remembrance Day Memorial Service

On Thursday 29 September 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a lunchtime reception for Australian Police Legatees to mark National Police Remembrance Day.

Later, the Governor-General received Chief Flying Instructor from the Royal Australian Air Force Central Flying School, Squadron Leader Mark Broadbridge. The Governor-General also received Mrs Eliza Broadbridge, Master Daniel Broadbridge and Master Aaron Broadbridge.

In the evening, at the National Police Memorial, Kings Park, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, attended the National Police Remembrance Day Memorial Service, at which the Governor-General, as Patron, laid a wreath.
