Federal Executive Council; St John’s Investiture Ceremony; Movement of Women and the Anglican Church
On Tuesday 20 November 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Prior, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted an investiture ceremony for The Priory in Australia of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem.
Later, the Governor-General hosted an afternoon tea for the participants of the Movement of Women and the Anglican Church.
Then, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to Malta, Ms Jane Lambert.
Earlier, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Kiribati, His Excellency the Honourable Anote Tong MP, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
In the afternoon, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Sprent Dabwido MP, by Colonel Dennis Scanlan CSM RFD ADC, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
