First Voice ‘Power of Speech’ Ceremony

On Tuesday 26 August 2014, at Parliament House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the First Voice ‘Power of Speech’ Ceremony, in recognition of Hearing Awareness Week.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chairman of the Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust, Vice Admiral Russ Shalders AO CSC RAN (Retd).

Later, the Governor-General received the Deputy Chair of the Foundation to Prevent Violence Against Women and their Children, Dr Phil Lambert; and the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Paul Linossier.

Earlier, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, received the President of the Woden Seniors, Mr Paul McGlew; and the Vice President, Ms Anne Murray.
