On Friday 11 June 2010, in Beijing, the People's Republic of China, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the curator Mr Brian Wallace, visited the Red Gate Gallery.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce visited the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China. Later, in Zhongnanhai, Beijing, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a meeting with Politburo Member and State Councillor, Madam Liu Yandong. In the evening, at the Australian Embassy, Beijing, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a reception hosted by the Australia China Alumni Association.
