On Friday 27 February 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Director, Research School of Social Sciences Australian National University, Professor David Marsh and the Director, Centre for Rural and Regional Studies, Australian National University, Dr Linda Botterill.

Afterwards, at Kingston Oval, Canberra, the Governor-General attended a practice session of the Australian Women's Cricket team. Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the Chairman, Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project Committee, Major General Tim Ford AO (Retired). Then, the Governor-General received the Australian Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Nepal, Ms Susan Grace. In the evening, at the Australian National University, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron of Friends of the School of Music, attended a concert at Llewellyn Hall.
