Funeral Service for the late Major Matthew Carr; Visit to RAAF Base Williamtown

On Monday 9 February 2015, at Port Stephens Uniting Church, Salamander Bay, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, attended the funeral service for the late Major Matthew Carr.

Afterwards, at RAAF Base Williamtown, Newcastle, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, received an operational brief from the Chief of Staff, Air Combat Group, Group Captain Robert Denney.

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of the Commanding Officer, 26 Squadron, Wing Commander Peter Cluff, viewed RAAF Base Williamtown facilities and met with service men and women from 77 Squadron.
