Gallery of Australian Design

On Thursday 18 November 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Colonel-in-Chief, received the Head of Corps of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps and Surgeon General of the Australian Defence Force, Major General Paul Alexander; Honorary Colonel of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, Colonel John Taske; and the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, Warrant Officer Class One Angel de Santa-ana.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Editorial Director of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers, Ms Alison Leigh, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Science Media Centre, Dr Susannah Eliott.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Secretary of the Global Foundation, Mr Steve Howard.

Afterwards, at Deakin, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, attended the Gallery of Australian Design garden party.

Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia of the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Tonga, Her Majesty Queen Halaevalu Mata’aho by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
