Gallery of Modern Art Brisbane; Telomeres and Telomerase Seminar

On Tuesday 19 June 2012, at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Gallery Director, Mr Tony Ellwood and the Director of Philip Bacon Galleries, Mr Phillip Bacon AM, attended a lunch.

Afterwards, at the Wesley Research Institute, the Governor-General, as guest of Professor Elizabeth Blackburn AC, attended the seminar, ‘Telomeres and Telomerase: Implication for Understanding Cancer and Ageing in Humans’.

Earlier, at Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the Governor-General was represented at the State Funeral for the late the Honourable Francis "Frank" Walker QC, by Commander Paul Doble ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
