Gatton ceremony for Australian National Flag Day 2011; Queensland Indigenous Knowledge Centres Workshop

On Saturday 3 September 2011, at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, Gatton, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Mayor of Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Councillor Steve Jones, attended the Australian National Flag Day 2011 Ceremony at which the Governor-General gave an address and unveiled the Australian National Flag found recovered from the January floods.

Afterwards, at the State Library of Queensland, Southbank, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended the closing dinner of the Queensland Indigenous Knowledge Centre’s Workshop, at which the Governor-General, as Patron, delivered an address and presented certificates to Indigenous Knowledge Centre Coordinators.
