On Tuesday 27 February 2018, at St Martin’s Cemetery, Vevey, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Director External Relations, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Ms Liz Sweet, participated in a Commemorative Service, viewed Australian War Graves and laid a wreath.

In the afternoon, at the Swiss Federal Assembly, Bern, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with the President of the Swiss Confederation, His Excellency Mr Alain Berset.

Afterwards, at Zurich Zoo, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Vice-Director, Development and Logistics, Mr Andreas Hohl viewed the Australia Exhibit and met with staff.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Ambassador to Federal Republic of Germany, Her Excellency Ms Lynette Wood, attended a reception with members of the Australian business community in Zurich.
