Goondiwindi, Queensland; Warialda, New South Wales; Tamworth, New South Wales

On Friday 30 August 2019, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Mr Tom Woods Snr, Managing Director, visited The Woods Group at Woods Grain, Goondiwindi.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Brett Hallett, Principal, visited Goondiwindi State High School where they met with students and staff members.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, travelled to Warialda Rail, where, as guests of Ms Lil Hollow, they visited 'Fromelles' and met with local landowners to discuss the impact of drought conditions in the region.

In the afternoon the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled to Tamworth, where, as guests of Mayor Col Murray, they attended a briefing on Tamworth and the surrounding region at Tamworth Regional Council.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mayor Col Murray, attended a Civic Reception at the Tamworth Regional Gallery.
