Government Secondary College School Captains; Fellowship of the Royal Society of New South Wales Investiture; Royal Wedding and Reception; Investiture

On Friday 29 April 2011, at Government House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE hosted a reception for School Captains from Government Secondary Schools.

Afterwards, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas hosted a ceremony at which the Administrator, as Patron, invested Lord May of Oxford with the Fellowship of the Royal Society of New South Wales.

Earlier, at Westminster Abbey, London, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE led the Australian representation at the Royal Wedding of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales KG and Miss Catherine Middleton.

In the afternoon, at Buckingham Palace, London, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of Her Majesty The Queen, attended the Royal Wedding Reception.

In the evening, at Stoke Lodge, London, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a reception at which the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, invested His Excellency Mr John Dauth AO LVO as an Officer of the Order of Australia, and Colonel John Hutcheson AM as a Member of the Order of Australia.
