Governor-General attends Day One of the London Paralympics

On Day 1 of the London Paralympics, the Governor-General shared a special moment with Australian cyclists Susan Powell and Alexandra Green as she presented them with Gold and Bronze Medals for the Women's Cycling C4 Pursuit.

The Governor-General also cheered on Kieran Modra who broke a world record in the Men’s Individual Pursuit and was awarded a Gold Medal.

In the evening, Ms Bryce joined Australian families and supporters at the Aquatic Centre in Olympic Park for the start of the swimming events before watching the Australia Men's Wheelchair Basketball team win against South Africa 93-39.
