Governor-General in New Caledonia

The Governor-General continued her visit to Australia’s Pacific neighbours in in Noumea, New Caledonia, after visiting Tonga, Kiribati, Samoa and Tuvalu. During her visit, Ms Bryce paid her respects on behalf of all Australians at Place Bir Hakeim, Noumea, as part of a military and wreath laying ceremony at the memorial. The Governor-General also attended an event hosted by the President of Government of New Caledonia, Mr Harold Martin, at Hotel Kuendu Beach in Nouville. Ms Bryce met Members of Parliament, Presidents of Provinces, Members of the New Caledonian Government, and recipients of Australian scholarships.
